Wachaupur offers a new way to explore the Wachau valley and its great wines. Since May 2007 the team of Wachaupur provides a new experience to discover the UNESCO world heritage stream landscape Wachau that is located between the cities of Melk in the Western part and Krems in the East.
Martin Wicke is the founder of Wachaupur. Being the grandson of Josef Jamek, a winemaker and gastronome, Martin’s love to the countryside and his connection to its culture started very early, he learned about the Wachau from the cradle, so to speak. He made it his profession, to give access to the Wachau wine world with all its facets to interested visitors. Hereby it does not matter whether you are already a Wachau expert or a newcomer, Wachaupur offers different options with professional support for everyone: from the vineyard hike including a wine tasting, winery visitation with guided tour through wine cellars, trip on the Danube river in a traditional boat “Zille” to the traditional snack “Jause” in the vineyards on breathtaking locations – Wachaupur can be flexible and makes individual desires possible!
